StrongerBC Future Skills Grant

The StrongerBC future skills grant empowers British Columbians to shape their own futures. The grant covers up to $3,500 for eligible short-term skills training.

Applications for StrongerBC future skills grant Summer 2025 are available to students who received funding in Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 only. For returning Fall 2024 and/or Spring 2025 students, please email futureskills@langara.ca for Summer 2025 registration instructions.

New to the 2024/25 academic year, students using the StrongerBC future skills grant must complete their chosen program within 52 weeks from the program start date. When you register with StrongerBC future skills grant, the entire cost will be deducted from your $3,500 lifetime amount.

Withdrawal policy

For returning Fall 2024 and/or Spring 2025 students, upon the start of your program, the full amount of the program was deducted from your $3,500 lifetime amount. If you wish to drop courses in the Summer 2025 term, the deadline to withdraw is 24 hours prior to the first day of the course. You may register in additional program requirements running within 52 weeks of your start date at no additional cost, up to the maximum of your program by emailing futureskills@langara.ca.

In order to drop courses, please contact Langara Continuing Studies at futureskills@langara.ca. Course withdrawal requests must be submitted no later than 24 hours prior to the start of the course. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the College and will be authorized at the College's sole discretion.

Course cancellations

A minimum enrollment is required to recover course costs. If that minimum is not reached, Langara College reserves the right to cancel classes. Every attempt will be made to notify you in advance. In the event of a cancellation, the amount for the cancelled course will not be claimed from your total future skills grant lifetime amount.
