Credentials
Micro-Credentials
Micro-Credentials are stackable and transferable educational opportunities for learners at any stage in their career journey to gain the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in Canada's future economy and workforce. They are stand-alone, short duration, for-credit learning experiences that are competency-based and align with industry, employer, community, and/or Indigenous community needs.
Citation | One Semester
Langara offers six citations. Earn a citation by completing at least 15 credits in a specific program of study.
Certificate | One Year
Short on time and big on impact, our certificate programs give you the skills and knowledge to enter the workforce or advance your career. Langara offers several one-year certificate programs (30 to 42 credits) for you to choose from, many of which provide the theoretical and practical knowledge to begin a career.
Associate Degree | Two Years
Associate degrees are a great way to get two years of university-transferable credit in arts, sciences, social sciences, business, and humanities programs while laying a solid foundation for further study. Earn your associate degree by completing at least 60 credits, then apply your academic credits to a bachelor’s degree at Langara or one of Canada’s top universities.
Diploma | Two Years
Combining a strong academic core and state-of-the-art marketplace skills, diplomas lead to careers in the arts, sciences, business, industry, and community services, or transfer your credits to a university. Earn one by completing at least 60 credits in a specific program of study.
Bachelor’s Degree | Four Years
Bachelor’s degrees require four years of study. Complete a minimum of 120 credits of university-level courses in a specific program of study in one of these subject areas:
Bioinformatics
Business Administration (Accounting, Business Management, Marketing Management)
Nursing
Recreation Management
Post-Degree Diploma | Two Years
Augment your existing undergraduate education and broaden your professional skills with specialized credentials for practical application. Earn a post-degree diploma with 31 to 42 additional credits in upper-level courses in a variety of subject areas.
Post-Degree Certificate | One Year
With your bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 15 to 30 extra credits in upper-level courses you can earn a post-degree certificate to broaden your professional skills.
