This page outlines the General Admission Requirements for students who want to enroll in Regular Studies programs.

Program Requirements

Some programs have additional criteria, like a higher level of English or a portfolio. You can find these program requirements under the 'Admissions' tab of the program listing

Academic Requirements

Domestic Applicants: BC Grade 12 Graduation (or equivalent) or 19 years of age or older

International Applicants: BC Grade 12 Graduation (or equivalent)

Some programs may require post-secondary coursework or a bachelor's degree. Check the 'Admissions' tab of the program listing for other academic requirements.

Grades

While Langara doesn't have grade requirements, many programs do.

Some high school courses, including Math, Chemistry, and Physics courses, are only acceptable three to five years after completion.

Check the 'Admissions' tab of the program listing for additional program requirements.

English Requirements

At Langara we categorize our English Requirements into three categories. All students must meet the requirements set out in Category 3. Some programs require students to also meet advanced requirements of Category 1 or Category 2. Learn more:

English Requirements

Diploma: General Education in Arts or Science does not require students to meet an English requirement, although you may need to complete an English upgrading course or write the Langara English Test to meet course prerequisite requirements. General Education is a great option for domestic students wishing to enrol at Langara who may not meet the Category 3 English Language requirement.

Citizenship

We welcome both domestic and international students to Langara.

A domestic student is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident (landed immigrant) of Canada.
