CONAHEC is a consortium of universities and colleges that advises and connects institutions interested in establishing or strengthening academic collaborative programs. As part of their activities, members have agreed to facilitate the exchange of students between their institutions. Langara’s membership in this association means that Langara students are eligible to apply to spend a semester studying at any of the CONAHEC exchange institutions.

Other tips

  • Do your research. Visit the institution's website and look for information for incoming exchange students. If you wish to study in English, confirm that the language of instruction for the courses of interest is English. If not, confirm that you have the language proficieny required to be admitted to the institution or to take your desired courses. It is important to determine that you will be able to complete a full semester of courses that can transfer back to Langara.
  • Speak to the Associate Director, International Programs at Langara about your interest in the CONAHEC Program to confirm that there is availability in the program and semester of your choice.

About Exchange

An exchange gives you the opportunity to study for one semester at a university or college that has an exchange agreement with Langara. As an exchange student, you will pay tuition to Langara College and transfer the credits you earn back to your Langara transcript. (Note: The granting of transfer credit will depend on which courses you take at the exchange institution. Any transfer credits granted by Langara may not be transferable to other Canadian institutions.)

The exchange will be one semester long. Exact dates for each semester will vary by institution and country.
