Description
Dogs can be curious about smells and new things around the home, and their environment. Learn to respond safely and effectively in emergency situations such how to treat pet injuries and most importantly how to prevent them! Important topics covered in the course include: steps to take in an emergency, how to handle bleeding wounds and bone injuries, how to perform Artificial Respiration and CPR, what to do for poisoning and heat/cold injuries, and more. This is a 10 hour course and suitable for pet owners and pet professionals. It is not intended to be a substitute for veterinary care but does teach you the best first response procedures. This course may be taken individually for personal interest or as part of the Professional Dog Walker Certificate.
