Career opportunities
Upon graduation, students will exit with a high degree of proficiency and a portfolio showcasing their knowledge and skills. This foundation can lead to opportunities within two different paths:
Work within the industry, through careers in Retail Visual Merchandising, Graphic Design, Interiors Services, Exhibit Design, or specializing to seek further education in fields such as Marketing & Advertising, Illustration, Architecture, and Digital, Graphic, Industrial or Interior Design streams.
Transferability
Ideal for those who like to create, Design Formation offers students a chance to explore and develop their creative talents, knowledge, and skills in a variety of 2D and 3D design specializations. Our alumni leave the program with the portfolio and confidence to apply to a number of advanced programs in their field of choice.
After graduation, students may continue their education with one of our growing number of transfer institutions.
Current transfer agreements include:
Capilano University, Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication
Design Formation Diploma students may transfer into the third year of the BDVC program.

Design Formation Students may transfer into the second year of the KPU, GDMA program.
