Real Estate Trading Services

This part-time program provides an alternate method of qualifying to write the Trading Services License exam from BCFSA. The program curriculum provides a strong foundation in real estate to allow graduates to work in the trading services field. The courses examine the principles and techniques of real estate valuation, mathematics, finance, and law.

Required Courses (4)

1. PROP 1004 - Real Estate Law (39 hours)
2. PROP 1005 - Real Estate Appraisal (39 hours)
3. PROP 1023 - Real Estate Finance (39 hours)
4. PROP 1024 - Real Estate Mathematics (39 hours)

Students may register in any individual course.

BC Financial Services Authority (BCFSA) Requirements

To be eligible to request a waiver from the applicable licensing course, BCFSA requires completion of the following courses.

• PROP 1004 - Real Estate Law (39 hours)
• PROP 1005 - Real Estate Appraisal (39 hours)
• PROP 1023 - Real Estate Finance (39 hours)
• PROP 1024 - Real Estate Mathematics (39 hours)

On completion of these courses, submit an official transcript from Langara College to BCFSA requesting permission to write the exam.
