Latest IRCC Updates

All graduating students applying for post-graduation work permits (PGWP) must meet the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 for college programs. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure they meet all eligibility requirements as outlined by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The Post-Graduate Work Permit page has information on which Langara programs are eligible.

Furthermore, IRCC has announced that students must be enrolled in the Designated Learning Institution (DLI) named on their study permit. This means students can no longer change DLI’s by notifying IRCC through the online account. To change DLI’s, students who want to join Langara College, need to get a new study permit by applying to extend the current one.

Langara’s DLI number
Langara’s DLI number is O19319074622 (first character is the letter “O”).
