Formerly known as SWAP (Student Work Assistance Program) and WOC (Work on Campus Program), GROW offers students the opportunity to work for a semester on campus alongside faculty and staff, contributing to meaningful projects and initiatives.

Students will be required to be registered in a minimum of three credits (3.9 CEUS for students in eligible CS programs) and have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00 or above to apply for work in the GROW program.

Finding work

Step 1: Eligibility

Please ensure you meet the eligibility criteria before applying:

  1. Enrolled in a minimum of three (3) credits for regular and half-semester semester courses
    • Continuing Studies Students: Enrolled in a minimum of 3.9 CEUS in a term.
    • International Students: To work on campus without a work permit, you must be Enrolled in a minimum of nine (9) credits regular and half-semester semester courses OR registered in a Continuing Studies program equivalent. See more details on the IRCC website.
  2. Have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00 or above and be in good academic standing. First term students are not required to meet this criterion.
    • All students must maintain the minimum academic standing to remain eligible for employment on campus.

Note:

  • Students must be legally able to work in Canada with a valid social insurance number (SIN).
  • Students cannot work more than 100 hours a semester across multiple positions (i.e. they cannot have three positions and work 100 hours in each, totaling 300 hours a semester)

Step 3: Prepare Your Application

  • Gather necessary documents, including:
    • Resume or CV (if requested)
    • Cover Letter (if requested)
  • Double-check that all required information is complete before submitting.

Step 4: Submit Your Application

  • Apply directly through the C3 Job Board. Be sure to attach all required documents (transcript, schedule/registration) for consideration.

Salary: $17.40 per hour (plus ~30% fringe benefits)
