Bursaries for Single Parents

The Summer 2025 Bursary Application is now closed. Applicants will be notified by email of the results before the end of July.

49Women in Science Single Parent Bursary is awarded to a female student enrolled in one of the following programs: Engineering Transfer, Bioinformatics, Mathematics and Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Applicants must be a single parent and demonstrate financial need. (Fall, Spring, or Summer)

Catherine and Gary Gauthier Endowed Fund is given to single parents enrolled in any program in a minimum of three courses. Recipients must normally have a previous semester grade point average of 2.0.

Dora M. Ross Bursary funds students who are single parents and who demonstrate financial need. (Spring)

Erm Fiorillo - Hal Davis CKNW Orphans' Fund Bursary provides bursaries for students are single parents and in financial need.

R&A Koerner Foundation Community Single Parent Bursary is awarded to a student who is enrolled as a full-time or part-time student, in either Regular Studies or Continuing Studies. The student must be 25 or under at the time of applying, be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and be able to demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to a student who is a single parent. (Fall, Spring, or Summer)

Single Parent Support Bursary is awarded to full-time students in the Nursing School, in 3rd or 4th term. Applicants must be single parents and demonstrate financial need. (Fall and Spring).
