Explore your investment options and learn to make more informed investment decisions through the courses/series offered at Langara College. Courses will assist in helping you make your investment decisions whether you are doing it on your own or working with a financial planner. They cover a wide range of topics and are suitable for investors with all levels of investment background. Students will be equipped with the solid foundation and knowledge needed to make more informed investment decisions. Courses can be taken individually or as a specially designed series.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I register for courses?
New students and returning domestic students can call Continuing Studies at 604-323-5322 to register for courses. Returning students also have the option to self-register on Student Information System. See Registration page for more details.
If I complete a series, do I get a credential/certificate?
The courses/series are not eligible for credential/certificate.
Can I register for individual courses or do I need to register for the entire series?
Students can register for single courses. Registration to the entire series is not required.
When is the deadline to register for a course?
You have up until the first day of course to register for that individual course, given that space is available. To register for the entire series with discount, students will need to register before the first course.
I have registered for a course, how can I access the course content?
Most courses will use Brightspace, Langara's online course management system. Access to the registered course on Brightspace will start on the day of the course. Some online courses may also use Zoom, a free video conferencing software, to conduct live virtual class sessions. Students should ensure they have their student account informationand access to Brightspace prior to the beginning of the course as pertinent information may be shared online.
When does my course access start and end on Brightspace?
Your course access on Brightspace begins on the day of the course and ends one week thereafter. If you wish to save course files, please ensure to download/save by the access end date as access cannot be reactivated.
How can I see my course schedule?
You can view your course schedule by logging in to Student Information System, then:
- Click ‘Students’ at the top menu.
- Click ‘Continuing Studies’ in the middle of the page
- Click ‘Semester Schedule by Day/Time/Room’
My course has just ended, when can I see my grade?
It may take up to a few weeks following the course date for grades to be posted on the Student Information System.
