About Face: Explorations in Portraiture

Our earliest drawings are of the human face, as are some of the greatest works of art. Through the use of live models this course incorporates a mixed media approach to portraiture. Working with contour drawing, tonal studies, and colour wash, students explore the physical, psychological, and spiritual elements of this popular subject. This course is suitable for all levels.Note: Please bring a 6B pencil and a 14" x 17" sketchpad to first class.
